As promised, here are some of the photos from New York City. Also, a special thanks to Brady Dorman for agreeing to share his photos with me. Overall I would say that trip to New York City went very well; although contrary to the song, I would have to say that it is not all that fun to stay at the YMCA. We were in New York between the 5th and the 9th and many of the photos you see below were taken of the numerous housing projects which we visited. On Friday, approximately 40 of us took a daytrip to New Haven, CT to visit Yale. There are also some photos from that day mixed in (note how much nicer their architecture studios are than ours). I'm sure that I will also be adding additional photos later on as they bounce around studio.

I often wonder what people think when we walk into art galleries and pay more attention to railings and doors than the art itself. The Beinecke Rare Books Library at Yale The Flatiron Building

Here are a few photos I took during the first two weeks of studio. This is currently my fourth semester of architecture studio, which means I am now halfway through my education. Later this week the third-year studios will be traveling to New York City as our next building site is located somewhere in Manhattan. We will be staying on the west-side near Lincoln Center, but that is about all that I know at the moment. This will be the first time we will fly to our destination and I have to say I am really looking forward to it. I'm not sure whether it is the prospect of returning to the east coast or being in a dense and vibrant metropolis which I am looking forward to, but check back in a week or two and hopefully I will have uploaded some photos from the trip.

My desk, in Studio 84 again this semester. Panorama of the Armory at 2 in the morning. Vendoland ISU Dining recently decided to add ice cream to the vending machines. I don't know how much they've made so far, but judging by appearances, selling ice cream to design students is a growth industry. I broke Jackson's chair.
